Brogden Lodge

After many years involved in the industry at an ownership level, Graham and Judy Bowen established Brogden Lodge in 2006 with the purchase of our 1st commercial Broodmares.

We operate a small 30 acre establishment halfway between Cambridge and Hamilton. Our goals are to produce between 4 and 6 high quality yearlings per season.

Our policy on broodmare selection is to only breed from the best quality mares that we can either breed or source. Our mares are selected for their depth of pedigree and from strong commercial, successful families.

We mate our mares to the best stallions possible. Correct conformation, depth of pedigree, athletic yearlings are our goal.

We keep some fillies for breeding after given the opportunity to race and our colts are all sold. Our yearlings go to the sales with no reserve placed on them. They are there to be sold.

Our foals are hard fed from early after birth.
